Forum for Yangtze Basin economic development will be held in Shanghai

Forum for Yangtze Basin economic development organized by “China Investment and Financing”, “Shanghai Warton Economic Institute” and “Shanghai Commercial News” together will be held on March in Shanghai .

Since the “Reform and Opening up”, the achievement in China 's economics has become the focus of world attention. After entering into a new historical age, China 's western, central and eastern were integrated and the promoted needs became apparent: on the one hand, the prices of land and labor in east increased steadily and on the other hand, the abundant resources in west and central attracted more and more surplus capital in east. Therefore, how to set up a coordinated development mechanism of economics in Yangtze Basin and how to implement the economic integration strategy has become an important topic of promoting China economics and harmonious development.

The Publication of “ China listed 100 in 2006”

Besides the “ China listed 100 in 2006” , Warton Economic Institute also published an article entitled “Power and Honor – the interpretation China listed 100” in “Economic Herald”. In this list, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China , Bank of China, China Petrochemical, Baosteel, China Merchants Bank, Angang shares, China Unicom, Huaneng Power International, the Datong-Qinhuangdao Railway and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank were listed as top ten.

“ China listed 100” , first published in 2001 was at that time influenced by “list of global 500 largest enterprises” in American magazine “Fortune”. It was suggested that Chinese enterprises should expand their scale through mergers and reorganization. But Warton Economic Institute considered the “Strong” as the top priority of Chinese enterprises. First of all is to optimize the quality of their assets and to enhance the competitive capability. So Warton launched “ China listed 100 in 2000” , which took the total profits as the main ranking index. Selecting total profit as the indicator not only removed money-losing enterprises, but also reflected the company scale, the profitability and development potential of companies and therefore, was more reasonable.

General Plan on Zhenze Town Tourism Development (2006-2020) won acclaim!

On November 21, government of Zhenze Town presided over a review meeting, on which by Warton Economic Institute designed “General Plan on Zhenze Town Tourism Development (2006-2020)” was assessed. The conclusion was as follow:

The plan applied the integrated evaluation indicators, RMP (Resources – Market – Product) analysis method, SWOT analysis method, method of analyzing of tourism profits etc. The system introduced economics, space and environmental analysis, tourism visual, image design, applications and some other contents, and provided some creative ideas in planning concept, planning mode and planning content. It had a certain theoretical and high practical value.
